The Neuroscience and Metabolic Phenotyping Core at NUS offers equipment and expertise to analyze neurobehavioural and metabolic functions in rat and mouse models of human diseases. We have a broad range of assays that investigators can select from and customize to their specific interests.
Our neurobehavioural assays include tests for learning and memory, sensory and motor function, circadian rhythm and home-cage activity monitoring, social interaction, affective disorder-related behaviours etc. We also have equipment that provide indirect calorimetric measurements for mice and rats. More details on our neurobehavioural and metabolic services are found here.
In addition to these resources, we provide various surgical models, training for researchers who wish to carry out their own experiments, and consultation services, including advice on study feasibility, experimental design, data analysis and interpretation. Please visit this page for more details on the other services that we offer.
