Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the physical and mental benefits of exercise.
2. Conduct physical activity assessment and pre-participation screening
3. Apply the general principles of exercise physiology for exercise prescription.
4. Safely and effectively counsel/supervise exercise that has been prescribed for the patient by his or her physician
5. Critically evaluate the efficacy of a prescribed exercise regime in improving patients’ disease conditions.
