Objectives

The workshop aims to educate/eqiup participants with knowledge and skills in the following healthcare topics: 1. Nutrition 2. Exercise 3. Medications 4. Health Screening and vaccinations 5. Financial literacy for Healthcare Needs 6. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) The participants should be able be well versed and be able to effectively commuicate the following: - Healthy eating for adults and older persons - Physical and mental benefits of exercise - Exercise dos and don’ts for older adults and those with chronic diseases - Common medications and how they work - Self-care for common chronic conditions - Rationale for health screening and vaccinations - Financial schemes available for management of chronic conditions, hospitalisation & other medical needs - how TCM works and the do's and don's of consuming TCM
