Objectives

To familiarize the student with important skills in patient interviews, history taking, communications, as well as basic physical exam techniques utilized in the retail, ambulatory care and acute care settings. Students will be assessed mostly by Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).

Entry Requirements

The candidate must have / be: (1) Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (with or without Honours classification) or an equivalent qualification (2) Registered pharmacists with the Singapore Pharmacy Council (or overseas equivalent), and holding a current and valid practicing certificate (3) Candidates are preferred to have at least 1 years’ working experience as a patient‐care pharmacist post pre‐registration training

Learners must pass all assessment components to be eligible for SSG funding. Please note that all external funding for courses is limited in duration and subject to availability.

Please note that the mode of delivery is subject to change in light of the COVID-19 situation. Courses marked ‘online’ may have compulsory face-to-face sessions such as laboratory or hands-on components and details should be sought from the schools or departments before learners register for them.
