Objectives
This course introduces to 2nd year students fundamental concepts of vector analysis, partial differential equations, curve fitting and Fourier series with emphasis on their engineering applications. Major topics covered include: vector calculus, directional derivatives, gradient, divergence and curl of vector fields, line, surface and volume integrals, Gauss and Stokes theorems, partial differential equations, curve fitting and Fourier series.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should complete the pre-requisite course(s): TTG1401 Engineering Mathematics I. If they have not completed the pre-requisite course(s), they should have an Engineering diploma or be professionals working in the industry holding any degree and had done mathematics and a science subject at A-level or equivalent

S1: Tuesdays (6pm to 9.30pm)
S2: Mondays (6pm to 9.30pm)
Lesson Delivery
a. Lecture: 2.5 hrs
b. Project/Assignment: 3.0 hrs
c. Others, include preparatory work: 3.5 hrs
