Objectives

Objectives: At the end of the programme, participants are expected to achieve the following objectives:
  • Articulate how leadership can help them have a greater impact on more lives and contribute to their own learning and growth;
  • Cultivate skills to transition to leadership with greater ease and confidence;
  • Outline at least one leadership approach that is aligned with social work values such as service to humanity, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships and integrity (which are adopted by the Singapore Association of Social Workers) and a few skills related to it;
Application: At the end of the workshop, participants are expected to be able to do the following:
  • Develop communication and relationship skills that bring out the best in others;
  • Develop skills to manage meetings more effectively so that high value conversations take place;
  • Practice mindfulness and conscious effort when engaging with team members;
  • Engage in more positive and frequent listening and communication;
  • Appreciate the personal visions and values of their team members.
