Objectives
1. Articulate how key transitions have shaped the current global disease trends and burden, including global health security, health governance, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the new global health architecture, global health financing, mobility and migration, universal health coverage, and climate change. 2. Recognize how complex and intertwined social and commercial determinants of health contribute to health and wealth inequalities within and between countries, and debate some of the contemporary solutions proposed. 3. Critically examine global health policies and responses to infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, and humanitarian emergencies and their potential to improve health and quality of life, including the role of existing and proposed global health innovations and partnerships, using multi-disciplinary perspectives.
