Objectives
This course is specially designed to provide learners with an overview of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) in a healthcare setting. Learners will be able to understand how EMR plays an important rolein healthcare throughout the patient’s journey from admissions to discharge. This course also includes an introduction to database architecture, standards, and interoperability. This interactive course will provide learners opportunities to discuss and analyse use cases with illustrations of the benefits of EMR. Learners will be able to understand the broad role of EMR beyond IT technicalities and its challenges, thereby empowering them to be better prepared for roles in the digitised healthcare sector.
