Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will gain

conceptual and theoretical understanding of different forms of urban placemaking, specifically 'creative', 'tourism' and 'tactical' placemaking • empirical insights on Asian and Western cities, with a specific focus on the successes and challenges encountered in different urban and cultural contexts and • practical tips, lessons and takeaways that can help activate placemaking initiatives on the ground
