Objectives

On successful completion of this module, students will be able to: 1. Understand the general exhaust (dilution) ventilation, local exhaust ventilation; air conditioning and natural ventilation; 2. The uses ventilation in controlling chemicals (gas, vapour & particulates) and Thermal conditions (heat stress) to prevent occupational health in industrial setting as well as indoor air quality and thermal comfort in office premises; 3. Communicate effectively with ventilation professionals in design, installation, operation and maintenance of ventilation systems;4. Use fluid dynamics principles in design of local exhaust ventilation system and it subsystems; 5. Conduct performance tests on the ventilation systems;6. Management and auditing of Ventilation Systems
