Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:
1. Assess and identify the clinical care needs of geriatric patients (of the disease states and/or conditions covered)
2. Provide patient-specific recommendations relating to pharmacotherapy and non-pharmacotherapy interventions to meet the clinical care needs of geriatric patients
Specific learning objectives will also be provided for each topic.
Who Should Attend
Pharmacy - direct community-based patient-care work
Entry Requirements
The candidate must have / be:
(1) Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (with or without Honours classification) or an equivalent qualification
(2) Registered pharmacists with the Singapore Pharmacy Council (or overseas equivalent), and holding a current and valid practicing certificate
(3) At least 2 years of working experience as a patient-care pharmacist post pre-registration training (preferably)
Lesson Delivery
a) Class Facilitated Training - 7.5 hours
b) Asynchronous e-Learning - 5 hours
c) Assessment - 8.5 hours
