Objectives

Session 1: Integrating Theory (Case Formulation) in Correction WorkThis workshop aims to provide staff with confidence in their casework with clients and increase their flexibility in using different types of interventions. By the end of the day, participants will be familiar with different ways of formulating cases and identifying targets for intervention. Session 2: Use of Self (Reflective Practice) in Correction WorkThe workshop aims to build awareness and confidence in the participant as a professional, by teaching them how to create a "space" in their work to safely explore and process the difficult emotions and situations they might have encountered. When they can do so effectively and appropriately, it will increase their self-confidence and reduce the feeling of burn-out when engaging in their work.

At least a degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or Sociology, or degree holders of relevant background
