Objectives
This module aims to introduce students to wireless sensor network principles, sensor data capturing, processing and transmission of results over wireless networks. At the completion of the module, students will learn how to capture data from sensors, process data by integrating sensor networks to edge computing nodes and cloud platforms. They will also learn how to use sensor networks to achieve application level functionalities such as stream analytics, modelling & event detection, and also achieve new services & business process optimization by gaining visibility into physical processes.

Entry Requirements
Relevant Bachelor's Degree in electrical/electronics/communications/computer engineering, computer science, and related disciplines. Basic knowledge of networking, programming and computing.

1. Facilitated Learning - 18 hours;
2. Assessment - 2 hours.
