This programme was developed to respond to the interest by healthcare professionals for short bite-sized learning courses in healthcare law and ethics. It is designed to equip participants with the skills of critical thinking and analysis so they may apply bioethical and legal principles to various healthcare issues in practice. A previous survey conducted by the National Ethics Capability Committee (established by MOH) showed that healthcare professionals are interested to be trained in core topics in healthcare law and ethics. This Executive Certificate should also be of interest to members of Clinical Ethics Committees in healthare institutions, who are tasked with reviewing cases with an ethical and legal lens.
