Objectives

Born-digital objects have now changed the ways we study, research, and present artistic practice. Building on the attention to context and nuance that characterises theatre studies, this suite of courses broadens students’ knowledge and skills in digital research, archiving and digital literacy in the arts and humanities, preparing students to work in the new digital environment by providing them with the relevant tools, methods and theories. These include data analysis, visualisation, interaction design, digital archiving and multimedia storytelling. Through case studies and contexts from Asia and beyond, courses will explore and engage with theoretical approaches in the humanities, critical literacies, and modes of connecting people, practice and cultural domains together.
